The NEC has many useful standard features for business like place callers on Hold, many features related to Caller ID, Music On Hold, Call Transfer on-site or off-site to a cell phone or home phone, Announce Calls, Redial, Speed Dial,, Conference, and also has advanced features like Voice Mail to Email, Wake Up Call or Timed Reminders.  Some advanced features require a software upgrade, so please be sure and tell you sales person of all the features you are interested in.

The NEC supports both types of VoIP or Voice Over IP.  One is the cost saving VoIP in coming lines from a VoIP service provider and the other is for the need to have extensions at off-site locations like a second office or a home office.  The NEC will also support the need to connect two phone systems together via a good internet connection.
